Hazmat team investigating suspicious powder in NW Oklahoma City


    The hazmat team is on the scene of a suspicious powdery substance in the area of NW 10th and N. Portland Ave.

    Mar. 14 10:55 am- OKCFD says two workers on a city sanitation truck picked up a duffel bag a few blocks from Quapaw and Park Pl.

    One of the workers thought he may have inhaled a white powdery substance that came from the duffel bag as he tossed it into the truck.

    The worker then reported that he was experiencing dizziness.

    Hazmat is currently searching the sanitation truck for the duffel bag and articles of clothing that may have residue of the substance.

    So far they have not been able to find anything with the substance or enough of it to be tested according to OKCFD.

    They say they're continuing the search.
