Grass fires causing traffic problems along I-35 in Edmond

Several grass fires are causing traffic problems Thursday in Edmond.

The Edmond Police Department confirms that firefighters are on scene of a grass fire near I-35 and Waterloo Road. The fire is in the area to the south of the intersection. A second fire is burning in the area of I-35 and Seward Road.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are controlling traffic in the area. Southbound I-35 is narrowed to one lane from Seward Road to Coffee Creek due to smoke.
