Flu numbers continue to rise across Oklahoma

The number of Oklahomans hospitalized from influenza continues to rise across the state.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports that 24 people have been sent to the hospital for the flu in the past week, bringing the overall total to 135 for the season. The season began September 1.

No new deaths have been reported in the past week. Overall, two Oklahomans have died from flu-related symptoms. Oklahoma and Tulsa counties have been hit the hardest this season with the counties seeing 33 and 30 hospitalizations, respectively.
