Firefighters battle house fire in Midtown

Oklahoma City firefighters battle an early morning house fire near Northwest 9th & Shartel.

The fire broke out just after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Firefighters said the house is vacant. An extension cord was found coming from the left of the house. They're working to find the source.

Battalion Chief, Benny Fulkerson, said this is the time of the year where they'll see more vacant house fires. One neighbor was very upset about the fire, saying she's called police several times about people going into the vacant home.

No injuries are reported.
