One dead following rollover crash along I-240
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
One person is dead following a rollover crash Wednesday along I-240 in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department reports that crews responded to a crash at approximately 10:30 a.m. July 18 along eastbound I-240 just east of Eastern. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells FOX 25 that a truck, driven by a 16-year-old veered off the road and then over-corrected. The truck then left the roadway to the right and rolled over. A passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old John Allan Ferrell, was ejected from the truck. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital.
The crash has blocked a portion of the roadway for several hours.
