Earthquake causes well shutdown in Grady County

An oil well near Bridge Creek was forced to cease operations after an earthquake Sunday night.

Shortly after the earthquake, the Oil and Gas Division of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission told the operator of the well to cease operations immediately shortly. The shutdown is indefinite, pending further investigation and data review.
