CORDELL, Okla. (KOKH) — Residents in Cordell are being asked to conserve water after another water main break is discovered.
Police on Thursday notified residents an eight-inch water main broke near 14th and Temple in the town. Crews had to shut the water off leaving residents in the northern part of the town with little to no water for some time.
On Friday, police announced another break had been discovered.
This second break, at an undisclosed location, will require the water tower on the west side of town to be shut down. Residents are again being asked to conserve water.
There is no timetable for when the main will be fixed.
