Commissioner of Health resigns, effective immediately
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
The Board of Health accepted Oklahoma State Department of Health Commissioner, Terry Cline's, resignation. His resignation is effective immediately
The Board met in an emergency meeting tonight, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m.
Dr. Cline has served on the since June of 2009. His resignation comes on the heels of information received by the Board that OSDH is facing financial problems.
Along with Commissioner Cline, the Board also accepted the resignation of OSDH Senior Deputy Commissioner, Julie Cox-Kain, effective immediately.
The Board named Director and Secretary of Finance, Preston Doerflinger, as Interim OSDH Commissioner. Doerflinger will begin his new responsibilities tomorrow, Oct. 31.
