PUSHMATAHA COUNTY (KOKH) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating after officers shot a man dead in Clayton on Monday.

Officials say the incident occurred near North 10th Street and West Gary Boulevard.

When officers arrived on scene, they found 46-year-old suspect Michael Wilson barricaded inside an apartment complex.

Officers attempted to negotiate with Wilson for several hours, but after no success, tried making entry into the room. Wilson fired several gunshots towards officers, causing them to return fire.
