STILLWATER, Okla. (KOKH) - Tight new restrictions go into effect Tuesday at 5 p.m. to fight the spread of coronavirus in Stillwater.

The restrictions, announced by Mayor Will Joyce on Monday, shut down all personal services like hair salons, barber shops, tattoo parlors and nail salons.

In addition, people will have to stand six feet apart when in grocery stores or similar places.

The closures will last until April 5.

The city is also reminding parents to take precautions at parks as well. Anyone using the playgrounds should bring wipes and clean the equipment before using it.

People who are sick or show any symptoms of illness should also stay home and away from parks and public spaces, the city said.
