EDMOND, Okla. (KOKH)--The city of Edmond announced it has amended its Declaration of Emergency related to the community spread of coronavirus that was previously in place.

The current Declaration of Emergency is subject to further change by the city council.

The new declaration builds upon the previous declaration that was announced March 30 and is in place to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The new measures include:

  • All closures and regulations are now extended to April 30 to match Gov. Stitt's "Safer at Home" Executive Order.
  • Expansion of the closure of public playgrounds to include all playgrounds within Edmond city limits.
