The brother of a man shot and killed Thursday by Oklahoma City police has been arrested on murder and kidnapping complaints.

The Oklahoma City Police Department confirms that Robert Young, 55, was arrested as he attempted to leave the scene following the Feb. 1 shooting.

Early Thursday, officers were called to 15001 Barton Dr. for a trouble unknown call. Police say immediately after arriving on-scene, 56-year-old William Young began firing on the officer.

Officer Brandon McDonald returned fire, striking and killing Young.

Police officials say following the officer-involved shooting, investigators discovered a dead body in a van parked at the residence. That body was identified as 51-year-old Jennifer Young, wife of William Young. Police say Young's daughter, 29-year-old Rebecca Johnson, was also shot prior to the officer arriving.

Police have not released Johnson's condition at this time.

Investigators are still looking into the case. Officer McDonald has been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.

The details that led to Robert Young's arrest have not yet been released. The deaths are the 5th and 6th homicides of 2018 in Oklahoma City.
