Sheriff: Suspect identified after 6-hour standoff at home near Harrah

A break-in turned into a six hour standoff outside the metro.

Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies were called to the home in the 8000 block of N. Luther Road near Harrah shortly after 6 p.m. Oct. 1. They say the home alarm had been triggered and the homeowners were out of town.

Once on scene, deputies say the suspect barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies then set up a perimeter around the home and attempted to negotiate with the suspect. After several hours, deputies deployed tear gas into the home and were finally able to make entry and brought 35-year-old Stephen McGraw was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital.

When released, McGraw will face complaints of burglary, destruction of property and resisting arrest. He was also wanted on several warrants out of Oklahoma County.
