350 Oklahoma Airmen return home after deployment to Afghanistan
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- Family and friends lined up Monday to welcome home 350 Airmen assigned to the 138th Fighter Wing of the OKlahoma air National Guard.
A sweet homecoming for hundreds of men and women serving our country.
Beneath the stars and stripes a crowd of anxious faces.
All waiting or their loved ones’ return.
Today more than 350 airmen and airwomen coming home from deployment to Afghanistan.
After helping troops on the ground fight ISIS.
The anticipation building for Lauren Murray and her two daughters.
Their Dad Captain Lawrence Murray flew out in June for Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
“A lot of relief just knowing that he’s back home safe," said wife Lauren Murray.
As the plane came in the emotions kicking into gear.
It’s unclear if or when these men and women with the oklahoma air national guard will be deployed again.
