OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH)--A 35-year-old man died after being found unresponsive in his cell at the Oklahoma County Jail early Sunday morning.
According to a news release from the Oklahoma County Detention Center, the man was found around 7:20 a.m. and despite immediate life saving measures, he was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.
The medical examiner has taken custody of the body to determine the cause of death.
The man was awaiting felony jury trial scheduled for Jan. 11 on two separate counts of endangering others while eluding a police officer and felon in possession of a firearm.
The name of the man has not yet been released.
