"Once Upon A Dream" to raise funds for OU School of Dance

"Once Upon A Dream" is a fundraising event for the The University of Oklahoma School of Dance. The event will be held Nov. 5 at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Money raised will be used for scholarships, stipends for pointe shoes, and funds for international touring.

The theme of this year's event is "When art DANCESand the 20's ROAR!" The concept is inspired by the well-received ballet Rags to Jazztime, choreographed by OU Professor of Dance Jeremy Lindberg. That work was performed by the Oklahoma Festival Ballet in May, 2015. Excerpts from the ballet will be performed at the fundraiser by OU School of Dance students. Chip Oppenhiem, "Once Upon A Dream" chairman, joined us in our studios to discuss the event.

The event is open to the public. For more information and to purchase tickets, call the OU School Of Dance office at 405-325-4051, or email
