Oklahoma's Pet-Friendly License Plate

There's something new you're going to be able to sport on your car, and this addition will help our four-legged friends! Louisa McCune is the Executive Director of the Kirkpatrick Foundation and Amanda Meeks, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association discuss how Oklahoma's redesigned animal-friendly vehicle license plate benefits OVMA's pet sterilization program for low-income families.

The plates are available from the Oklahoma Tax Commission and you must ask for them by name when getting new plates. The design of the plates came from an advisory group of veterinarians and animal welfare advocates. The Kirkpatrick Foundation has donated $20,000 to the OVMA's population-control efforts.
