Strong winds hit Washington State bay
BELLINGHAM BAY, Wash. (KOKH) —
Strong winds cause large waves to crash against rocks in Bellingham Washington.
A strong storm system is bringing torrential rains to California but mainly wind to Washington state. Winds have gusted to 55 mph in the Seattle area.
The strong winds created nearly perfect kite flying weather. It also created very large ocean waves in the Pacific Ocean.
20 foot waves were observed off the coast of Washington with the storm. Rain has been heavy in parts with more than 3 inches of rain observed in the Olympic Mountains west of Seattle.
