Inside the Storm: Winter weather continues to hit the Midwest...in Spring
MARYSVILLE, Ohio (KOKH) —
It’s not just Oklahoma that has been getting winter weather this spring.
Several rounds of winter precipitation have been moving through the Midwest after the arrival of spring. The latest unusually cold air mass has invaded the United States east of the Rockies, triggering rounds of snow from here in Oklahoma this weekend and another round of snow impacting the Midwest and Middle Atlantic early this week.
Ohio is one area of the Midwest where many residents are experiencing repeated encounters with snow. Here in Marysville, just like Oklahoma, snow was falling Friday night into Saturday morning. But unlike Oklahoma, more snow moved into this area early Monday morning. Local Storms Media’s Aaron Rigsby captured this video of snow again coming down in Ohio Monday morning.
Snow showers will mix with light rain showers in this part of Ohio this evening. A few more snow flurries will be possible Tuesday but accumulation is not going to be an issue. Temperatures are set to warm up significantly this week. However, it is possible for a little more snow to fall in parts of Ohio early next week.
