Julie Calhoun reports week day mornings on Fox 25. She's up before the sun to bring viewers the latest on what they need to know before walking out the door.
Julie is a Savannah, Georgia native and before making her way to the Sooner State she was a reporter at WRDW in Augusta, Georgia. There she covered everything from crime, community events, politics, and stories about amazing people in the community.
She's covered national stories including the Charleston church shooting where she was live on scene for two days, giving constant updates and sharing the community's reaction in the wake of a national tragedy. She also covered the removal of the controversial confederate flag from South Carolina's statehouse grounds.
Julie graduated from The University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in digital and broadcast journalism. During her time there she reported, anchored, and produced a live student run newscast that broadcast across North East Georgia.
When she's not reporting, Julie enjoys hiking, spin class, and cheering on the dawgs. She's excited to call Oklahoma City her new home, if you see her out make sure you stop and say hi.
