Good Day OK anchor Chris Stanford is a dad, husband, and journalist. If you ask him, he’s just a regular guy who feels blessed to report important stories to folks in central Oklahoma.
“People deserve to have reporters in their community who are willing and able to go to bat for them,” Chris says. “To me, that means digging deep, asking tough questions, and holding the powerful accountable.”
Before starting at FOX 25 in January 2017, Chris reported and anchored at stations in Minneapolis, Wichita, and St. Louis. He’s an award-winning journalist who’s covered significant news stories the 2016 mass workplace shooting in Hesston, KS and the 2014 unrest in Ferguson, MO after Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer.
His investigations have uncovered problems with sex offender websites, security at regional airports, and lengthy hold times at a Kansas’ largest 911 call center.
When he’s not at work, Chris and his wife are raising their two girls. He appreciates a rewarding DIY project and any chance to relax on the golf course.
