Trae Young says Boomer Sooner
NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) —
Norman North guard Trae Young gave his verbal commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners Thursday.
Young chose Oklahoma over Kansas and Oklahoma State. He had over 40 scholarship offers from programs like Kentucky and Duke.
The reason for so many scholarship offers is simple. Young is a 2017 McDonald's All American that averaged over 40 points a game. He's rated the 14th best high school player in the country and the 2nd best point guard prospect.
Young is Oklahoma's highest rated incoming recruit since OU signed Blake Griffin in 2007.
