Sooners to celebrate softball National Title Thursday night

The Oklahoma Sooners softball team is celebrating its second consecutive National Title with the fans Thursday night.

Head coach Patty Gasso and several players will address the fans starting at 6:30 p.m. at Marita Hynes Field. Gates open to the public at 5:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The Sooners won their second straight championship, and third in five years, on Tuesday night, defeating Florida 5-4.

A fireworks show and autograph signing will follow the event. Fans can also purchase national championship merchandise, and the first 1,000 fans in the gate will receive a commemorative photo.
