Sooners take no mercy on Mercer

The Oklahoma men's basketball team improved to 6-1 with a 96-82 win over the Mercer Bears. The Sooners had all five starters score in double figures with Buddy Hield and Ryan Spangler leading the way with 20 points each. Spangler also grabbed a team high 13 rebounds.

Cameron Clark was next in line with 19 points while freshmen guard Jordan Woodard had 13 points and six assists.

Mercer is coached by former OU assistant Bob Hoffman, who was on staff at OU when Kelvin Sampson was head coach.

The Sooners next game is Thursday when Texas A&M Corpus Christi comes to Norman for a 7:00 tipoff.
