Oklahoma took the first round of Bedlam with a 88-76 win over Oklahoma State. Ryan Spangler had 15 point and 17 rebounds to go with freshmen Jordan Woodard, who scored 18 points.
The Cowboys got 22 points from Marcus Smart, 20 points from Phil Forte, who hit all six of his three point attempts. But Oklahoma answered every run the Cowboys had and improved their record to 17-4 overall and 5-2 in the Big 12. The Sooners conference record is good enough for second place in the league behind Kansas, who has yet to lose in the Big 12 at 5-0.
The Cowboys, who along with Kansas, was picked to win the league fell to 16-4 and 4-3 in the conference.
