With final exams over the Oklahoma football team can start to prepare for their Sugar Bowl game against Alabama. Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said that quarterback Trevor Knight is back practicing and is healthy and available for the Sooners game with the Crimson Tide. He did not say who would start saying that would be a game time decision on whether Knight or Blake Bell would get the nod.
Also on the injury front, cornerback Aaron Colvin is being held out of practice to allow him additional time to heal of from a variety of injuries. Just like the Sooners final two games, at Kansas State and at OSU, most feel the Sooners will lose to Alabama, who are two touchdown favorites.
"it builds hunger," said Colvin. "We've kinda been going through that a lot this year. A lot of teams we've played we've been ruled out and not winning. Oklahoma State I'm pretty positive everybody picked us to lose that game as well. We don't really get affected by that we kind of enjoy that... being the underdog. Us against everybody else."
Bob Stoops is 2-0 against Alabama. With Oklahoma having 27 bowl wins and Alabama having 35, the 62 bowl wins is the most combined bowl wins of any college football game ever played.
