Oklahoma Gets a Break

The Oklahoma Sooner football team will have a little extra time to savor Saturday's win over Tulsa. The Sooners have a off week this weekend which means a lighter practice schedule this week and players can travel home this weekend.

Next on the schedule is a game at Notre Dame on September 28th. The Irish lost at Michigan earlier this season, 41-30. That means nothing to Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, who expects a battle.

"How could going to South Bend be easy?" Stoops asked. "They're an incredibly great physical football team."

The Sooners lost to Notre Dame in Norman last season 30-13. Oklahoma's last trip to South Bend was in 1999. Notre Dame won that day 34-30.
