D.J. Ward Sidelined

Oklahoma freshmen defensive end D.J. Ward is out indefinitely due to an issue with his spleen.

Head coach Bob Stoops says Ward hasn't practiced so far in camp.

Ward did not play his senior season in high school.{} After playing his junior season at Lawton High he spent part of his senior season at Douglass High School before moving into the Southmoore district, where he was not eligible to play.

Ward was still one of the top rated defensive line prospects in the country.
