Oklahoma State loses to top ranked Florida State 37-31
By Myron Patton
It's pretty widely known that OSU head coach Mike Gundy wasn't thrilled by opening up against Florida State. He's probably still not to pleased especially since the Cowboys lost, but that loss might do more for the Cowboys image around the country than a win over some no name directional school.Yes the Cowboys came up on the short end of a 37-31 score but it was a game that was winnable right till the end. Stars for the Cowboys included Tyreek Hill, who had 276 all purpose yards. Quarterback JW Walsh passed for 203 yards and a touchdown while running for 51 yards and 2 more touchdowns. But Walsh also had a big fumble with the Cowboys driving and trailing at the time 30-24. Florida State recovered the fumble and turned it into a touchdown and a 13 point lead. The Seminoles were not as sharp as they'd like but Heisman winner Jameis Winston still made enough plays to pass for 370 yards and account for two td's. One passing and the other a 28 yard run.The win extends FSU's winning streak to 17 while the Cowboys get off to a 0-1 start for the first time since 2007 when they lost at Georgia. Oklahoma State will play their home opener next Saturday against Texas San Antonio.
