Sooners selected to Sugar Bowl; Cowboys to Cotton

      The first week of January will feature big games for both the Sooners and Cowboys as both teams were selected to bowl games Sunday.

      The 11th ranked Sooners will face two-time defending national champion and 3rd ranked University of Alabama in the AllState Sugar Bowl. The selection is OU's ninth BCS bowl berth.

      The Sugar Bowl will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. CT Jan. 2 at the Superdome in New Orleans. The game will air on ESPN.

      Oklahoma State will face former Big 12 foe Missouri in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. Oklahoma State ended the season ranked 13th in the BCS standings while Missouri finished 8th.

      The Cotton Bowl is slated for 7 p.m. CT Jan. 3. The match-up will be aired live on FOX.
