The 2013 college football season is in its final month of regular season play but both Oklahoma State and the University of Oklahoma are already looking forward to 2014.
The Big 12 conference has released its 2014 football schedule and features marquee games for both schools from Oklahoma.
The Sooners open up play August 30 against Louisiana Tech followed by an open date on September 6. The following Saturday, the Sooners will welcome in SEC opponent Tennessee. This will be the first matchup for the Sooners and Volunteers since the 1968 Orange Bowl.
The following week, the Sooners will close out non-conference by battling in-state foe Tulsa as Bob Stoops goes for his eighth consecutive win against the Gold Hurricane. That game starts a four-week stretch of games away from Norman: September 27 at West Virginia, October 4 at TCU, and October 11 vs Texas in the Red River Rivalry.
On October 18, Kansas State will return to Norman for the first time since 2012 when the Wildcats shocked the Sooners at national television. OU will get a bye week before playing Iowa State. That game is set for either October 30 (Thursday) or November 1 (Saturday). November 8, Baylor comes to Norman, followed by the final road game of the season: at Texas Tech on November 15. The Sooners return home on November 22 to take on the Jayhawks.
Up the road in Stillwater, Oklahoma State's season will open at the Cowboys Classic at AT&T stadium vs Florida State on August 30. The non-conference slate continues with home games against Missouri State on September 6 and University of Texas San Antonio on September 13.
The Cowboys will then get a bye week before opening Big 12 play vs Texas Tech on Thursday, September 25, followed by Iowa State on October 4. On October 11, the Cowboys will head up I-35 to take on the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence. The following week, they'll head the other direction on 35 and head to Fort Worth to battle TCU.
October 25, the West Virginia Mountaineers come to town, followed by a road game at Kansas State on November 1. The Cowboys will get a week off before taking on the Texas Longhorns on November 15 and going to Baylor on November 22.
The season ends, as it typically does, with Bedlam on November 29 or December 6 in Norman.
