Oklahoma State fires defensive coordinator

Oklahoma State is shaking up their coaching staff just days after the end of the college football season.

Pistols Firing was the first to report that the Cowboys have parted ways with defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer. Spencer took over the position in 2013.

Oklahoma State's defense ranked 58th in the country last season. He first came to the school in 2008 as a defensive line coach. He has also served as linebackers coach for the Cowboys.

The university confirmed the move Thursday.

“I’m very appreciative for the 10 years of loyal service that Glenn Spencer gave to Oklahoma State,” Gundy said.
