      Longhorns take down Cowboys

Marcus Smart began his three game suspension for shoving Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr by watching his Oklahoma State Cowboys lose at Texas 87-68.

Smart remained in Stillwater while the Cowboys dropped their 5th straight game and their 6th in the last seven games. With little depth and size the Cowboys trailed by 21 points at the half.

Texas was led by Javan Felix, who scored 16 of his 25 points in the first half. Isaiah Taylor added 16.

LeBryan Nash led the Cowboys with 23 points while Markel Brown finished with 18. OSU head coach Travis Ford went deeper into his bench with Leyton Hammonds, Marek Soucek and Mason Cox getting significant minutes. The Cowboys schedule does not lighten up with Oklahoma coming to Stillwater Saturday.

OSU's record falls to 16-8 overall and 4-8 in the Big 12. Texas raises its mark to 19-5 and 8-3 in league play.
