The Oklahoma State Cowboys beat the Kansas Jayhawks 42-6 to improve their record to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the Big 12 Conference.
The Cowboys took control in the first half when Justin Gilbert returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. Running back Desmond Roland scored two touchdowns in the opening half. The first was a one yard run and the second a 19 yard reception from Clint Chelf.
OSU took a 28-3 lead to halftime and though they went scoreless in the third quarter the game was never in doubt. Chelf, who passed for 265 yards, threw his third and final touchdown pass to Tracy Moore early in the fourth quarter and Jeremy Smith added a 15 yard touchdown run late in the frame to provide the final margin.
The Cowboys will hit the road for their next game at Texas on November 16th.
