Thunder sign former South Carolina point guard to 2-way contract
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed another player to a two-way contract.
GM Sam Presti announced Oct. 17 that point guard PJ Dozier had been signed. NBA teams are allowed to sign two players to two-way contracts in addition to the 15 player roster. Players on these contracts will spend most the season in the G-League but can be called up to the NBA for a max of 45 days.
Dozier comes to the Thunder after spending two years at the University of South Carolina where he averaged 10.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.34 steals. The Gamecocks went to their first Final Four during the 2017 NCAA Tournament. He spent a portion of training camp with the Dallas Mavericks.
ESPN reports that Dozier will wear number 35. Daniel Hamilton is signed to the team's other two-way contract.
