Thunder outlast Blazers

The Oklahoma City Thunder played the first of their final two games before this weekend's All Star break. THe Portland Trailblazers, who had won two of the first three meetings this season, were the opponent. But this time the Thunder came out on top 98-95.

Once again Kevin Durant led the way with 36 points but OKC was down 13 points in the first half but they got back in it thanks to their bench. Jeremy Lamb scored 19 points and hit the three pointer that gave OKC the lead for good at the 1:38 mark of the 4th quarter. Derek Fisher and Nick Collison were also big contributors for the Thunder who improved to 42-12 on the season.

After a fast start Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard combined to shoot 10-36 from the field including 1-16 in the second half.

OKC will play in Los Angeles Thursday night against the Lakers. That will take them to the All Star break.
