The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Detroit Pistons 112-111 to secure the second seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. It wasn't a pretty game for the Thunder but the bottom line is they got the win with Kevin Durant scoring a layup with :16 seconds left to give OKC the final victory margin.
Durant's 42 points were nearly outdone by Kentavious Caldwell Pope, who scored 20 of his career high 30 points in the first half for the PIstons. Andre Drummond added 20 points and 13 rebounds to go along with Greg Monroe's 22 points.
All nice numbers but in the end the Thunder found enough to catch Detroit at the end. Oklahoma City will face Memphis in the first round of the playoffs Saturday night at 8:30.
