The Oklahoma City Thunder lost game one of their best of seven Western Conference Finals Series to the San Antonio Spurs 122-105 Monday evening. The key storyline coming into the game was Oklahoma City playing without forward Serge Ibaka. His absence was felt on defense. The Spurs scored 66 points in the paint, which is an area Ibaka's shot blocking ability could have made a big difference. Thunder head coach Scott Brooks kept it simple after the loss. "Serge is not coming back." Brooks said. "We have to play better defense." Simple but true. The Spurs put up 65 points in the first half and 122 for the game. They shoot 58 percent from the field and 53 percent from three point range. Those kind of numbers usually mean a loss no matter who the opponent is.
