OKLAHOMA CITY — After continuing to sing that forward Serge Ibaka was done for the playoffs the Oklahoma City Thunder have changed their tune and are now listing the 6-11 forward as day to day. Ibaka suffered a calf injury in game six of their playoff series with the Los Angeles Clippers and all indications were that he would not play the remainder of the season but the team announced today that his recovery has been faster than expected."We're surprised that we're here although grateful that he's made enough progress to say that he's not ruled out," were the comments of Thunder GM Sam Presti. Presti quickly added that Ibaka has not been cleared to play and that he's not going through practice or contact but that they're not ruling him out either. Ibaka is doing light drills and shooting and there have been no setbacks.Credit for his quick recovery is twofold says head coach Scott Brooks. "When the injury happened you knew with our medical team Serge would get after it right away and that's what's happened.."Whether Ibaka comes back sooner rather than later is something the players can't be too concerned with according to center Kendrick Perkins."We'd like to have him back but we can't worry about that. We're down 0-2. We got to worry about winning the next game at home.We gotta figure out why we're getting beat so bad. That's the point of emphasis."
