Norman police investigating after missing child, woman found safe


Norman police have located a woman and child once thought to be in immediate danger.

The Norman Police Department reports that at 7:40 a.m. April 14 Angela Rhea, 41, and 1-year-old Jonah Fisher were allegedly abducted by 26-year-old Joseph Cross.

Police say Cross was engaged in a verbal dispute with Rhea in the 1100 block of Oak Tree Avenue when he put his hand over her mouth and forced her into a vehicle. Inside the vehicle was Fisher. At 1:36 p.m., police report they have found Fisher safe and sound.

Norman police say Fisher is the son of Cross with another woman. The child has been transported to his mother.

By 2:30 p.m. Rhea was located and safe.

Police say they are investigating the details of the incident at this time.
