Washington: 18th century replica sailing ship runs aground
Officials say strong winds may have caused an 18th-century sailing ship to run aground in Washington state.
"The Lady Washington" had a crew of 14 and five passengers when the ship ran aground Monday in Sequim Bay.
The us coast guard says the vessel did not take on water and that no pollutants leaked from it.
The vessel was freed a few hours later.
The ship is headed into drydock in Port Townsend so it can be checked for potential damage.
An internal investigation into the cause of the incident is underway
