Maria Luisa Lerma, 29, was wanted on complaints of conspiracy to commit a felony and burglary in the second degree. The warrants were issued April 11 and March 8, respectively.

Lerma's conspiracy complaint comes from a January incident at the Oklahoma County Jail. Court records show Lerma was involved in a scheme to sneak contraband into the facility.

"Just over time get a little bit of a hole through the outside of the wall through their jail cells," Mark Opgrande with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office said. "Just enough where they can take bed sheets they tied together, stripped down. They do what's called fishing."

A review of jail phone calls on Jan. 9 allegedly shows a call made by Daniel Garcia. During the call Garcia speaks with Lerma. Lerma can be allegedly heard driving and then telling someone in the car to "go, go go" before telling Garcia to "pull up".

Surveillance video of the jail public parking lot was then reviewed, showing a vehicle pull up at the time of the call. While the car is in the parking lot a white string of bed sheets can be seen coming from a jail cell to the ground. The line then blows in front of the jail front entrance and the car leaves the parking lot. No one can be seen exiting the vehicle while it is parked.

The sheriff's office warrant team is out this week looking for Lerma, and other suspects, as they try to get those who are still wanted.

"We became aware of it, started investigating and then tried to put all the pieces together and she was the name that popped up," Opgrande said.

Authorities believe Garcia, Lerma and three others were working together to smuggle tobacco and marijuana into the jail.

Lerma was arrested in late July in Oklahoma City.
