Wynnewood reserve officer turns himself in after rape accusations

Brandon Cross, 36, was booked into jail Feb. 9 on two complaints of first degree rape and one complaint of lewd acts with a child. (Garvin County Jail)

A Wynnewood Police Department officer has turned himself in after being accused of rape.

Garvin County court records show that Brandon Cross, 36, turned himself in to authorities Feb. 9. Cross was wanted on two complaints of first degree rape and one complaint of lewd acts with a child. Cross appeared in court Friday where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was ordered to not have contact with the victim or her family or any minor children.

The charge comes after a girl told investigators that Cross reportedly sexually assaulted her multiple times when she was 13 and 14-years-old. Cross allegedly threatened to kill the girl and her mother if she told anyone about the incidents.

FOX 25 has reached out to the Wynnewood Police Department to see the status of his employment but have not heard back.

Cross bonded out of jail Friday. He is expected to be back in court in March.
