Recall prompted by minor injury after a piece of bone found in hot dog

The Marathon Enterprises Inc. of Bronx, N.Y. is recalling about 7,196,084 polunds of beef and pork hot dogs, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recall was instituted after a piece of bone was found in a hot dog and a minor injury to a mouth was reported on July 10th.

The FSIS says the hot dogs were shipped nationwide and have "EST. 8864" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
