OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
A popular hot dog brand is recalling several of its products.
Sabrett announced a recall of more than seven million pounds of beef and pork hot dogs, sausages and salami products over bone fragments being found in the food. The USDA reports several customers calling in complaints of bone and cartilage being found, sparking the recall.
The recall includes hot dogs and salami sold to restaurants and other food services under the Sabrett label, Nathan's private label and Katz's Delicatessen label. It also includes retail brands such as Sabrett, Papaya King, 1906 Western Beef and Stew Leonard's.
The products in question have a use-by date between June 19 and October 6.
