A teen is in custody after police say he made threats against a metro school.

The Oklahoma City Police Department confirms that a 13-year-old was arrested Thursday after making threats on social media about having guns and shooting up Western Heights Middle School.

Police say the teen was suspended in December for a school violation. The schools will have increased security as the incident is investigated. Police have not identified the 13-year-old due to his age.
