Police: One arrested after fatally shooting man during altercation

Police have identified a man arrested after allegedly shooting and killing another man during an argument.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says that James Carbajal, 37, was shot and killed just after 2 p.m. May 11 at 425 NW 91 Street.

Police say that Carbajal and 26-year-old Marqueon Lamar Boykins became involved in a fight in the front yard of the home. During the fight, Boykins left the fight and grabbed a firearm from a vehicle. Boykins then allegedly shot Carbajal, killing him.

Boykins was taken into custody at the scene. He was later booked into the Oklahoma County on a complaint of first degree murder. Carbajal's death is the 22nd of the year in Oklahoma City.
