Police arrest 3 accused of multiple car burglaries in Edmond
EDMOND, Okla. (KOKH) —
Three people have been arrested and accused of approximately 30 auto burglaries in Edmond.
The Edmond Police Department reports that Tyler Hartzog, 22, Logan Persinger, 20, and Gabrielle Nichols, 20, were taken into custody early March 15.
Police say that around 3:53 a.m. a resident called police after observing two "suspicious males" walking near cars at the entrance of Saints Boulevard and 2nd Street. The men then got into a vehicle and drove north from the area.
Police were able to track down the vehicle at Sonny Blues Place and Nature Lane. Inside, they found Nichols and one of the male suspects. The second male suspect returned to the vehicle shortly after police got on scene.
The three are believed to be responsible to for approximately 30 or more auto burglaries on the east side of Interstate 35 from 33rd Street to Sorghum Mill. Officers found a large amount of stolen property in the suspect's vehicle.
All three were then booked and charged with three counts of auto burglary and conspiracy.
