One arrested in connection to robbery of wheelchair-bound woman

Court records show one man has been arrested after a wheelchair-bound woman was robbed last month.

Stevin Austin, 21, was arrested May 31 on a complaint of robbery in the second degree.

The arrest comes in connection to the May 17 robbery of a woman with cerebral palsy near SE 44 and Bryant. Two days later police released video of the suspects in the case in hopes of identifying the men.


Police say a detective was able to determine that the suspects followed the woman after seeing her in the parking lot of a convenience store near SE 44 and Bryant. The suspects arrived at the store in a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee.
