Oklahoma City Animal Welfare offering free pet adoptions on Saturday

Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is hoping to adopt out at least 200 pets during their free pet adoption event on Saturday.

The free adoptions event will be held from noon to 5:30 p.m. June 16 at the facility at 2811 SE 29 Street. Superintendent Jon Gary says they are hoping at least 200 dogs or cats get adopted to avoid euthanization.

“We need the community’s help to save lives. It’s that simple,” Gary said. “The summer is a busy time, and we have to clear space for more animals by the end of the weekend.”

All adoptable pets at Animal Welfare are micro-chipped, have their vaccinations, treated for worms and spayed or neutered. Click here for more information.
